Speck had an adventure last night! He went sailing! At the weekend I went to the ICONZ Raft Race. I made a boat out of flax because we had mini raft races down the river. We also had big rafts with four of us on board and it was really fun.
Speck saw my little raft and he said 'Can we go sailing?' I said 'What on?' Speck said 'That little raft looks just the right size for me!'
So I said 'Mum Speck wants to go sailing!' Mum said 'I know just the place!'
Here are the photos of Speck sailing on the raft in the sun. He went out really deep and I thought I couldn't get him back. Then I had a great idea. I yelled out 'Lets get the flippers from the car'. We made waves with the flippers at the edge to push the little raft to the other side of the pond and I ran round and rescued Speck and his little raft.

Kiwi @ Gemma's House
Kiwi at Gemma’s house.
First he played the piano by himself and with Tigey.
Second he rode on my pony The Duke Of Earl in the stirrup and in the monkey strap. He helped me hold the hose to fill Earl's water trough. He had lots of fun. Except in the evening where Tigey and Kiwi were fighting when I left them downstairs so I brought them upstairs to keep them from fighting but I couldn't stop them. Now they have finally stopped fighting! I think they were trying to see who is boss. (I think Kiwi is).
We all read a book before bed. Tigey and Kiwi read a bit of Eeyore and the Balloon Tree. I read some of Sleepover Stakeout.

Speck @ Sarah's House
Speck dropped from the top of the swing into the play-trough. It
made a big splash. Speck got soaking wet. Then Speck sunbathed on a towel in
the trailer.
Next he went into the house. We made him a crown. It had a blue
gem in the middle of the crown and two tiny gems on the side.
Picture perfect!
We went into the paddock. Blossom our lamb and George our goat were
grazing. Speck started riding Blossom and George. George did a trick to show
off to Speck but Speck ignored him and got on with riding the animals to show
off his moves for the camera.

Spot @ Rosie's House
'The Phantom Mudder'. By Darrel and Sally Odgers
Spot and I like 'Dog Detective' because it's funny and there are always mysteries. Jack solves problems with his super sniffer and his friends. "Jack Russell, the Detective with a nose for crime"

Spec @ Robbie's house or is that on Robbie's horse!
Speck had an adventurous weekend! Robbie wanted to tell you all about it .......
Speck came to my house. Speck woke me up when it was time to go to the horse show. Mum came to get me up but me and Speck were reading a book. Me and Speck went up to the yard and got my pony Sparky. I love Sparky, and so does Speck!
I went to the horse show and got 5 black ribbons and 1 gold one. I felt good. Speck liked the gold one best. The best bit was the trotting race. Speck cheered me on as he was playing with my toy tractors. My favourite thing is jumping Sparky.
Speck had lots of rides and he loved it. I had to give Speck a bath when we got home because Sparky is hairy and Speck was hairier than he was before!

Spot @ home with Libby
Spot had an exciting evening with Libby. Check out the home learning she brought in to share.
Why don't your write Libby a comment to find out the name of her goat?
Can you tell me why we blocked out Libby's last name?
Speck @ home with Arohaina
Wow - Speck has a surprise treat waiting for him at Arohaina's house because he had been so self managing at school. He got to play on the PS3.

Spec the Wheelie Dog - @ home with Robbie
For my birthday, two days ago, I got a kawasaki remote control 4 wheel motorbike. This is Speck doing a wheelie. "Hey Mollie the dog, what are you doing in the photo", says Speck.
Speck took off in to the paddock and he did a very good back flip, gee even better than me! He loved it! And I bet you $5 bucks he has never been on a motorbike by himself before!
The first time he jumped the jump he had a very weird landing but didn't fall off. The next time he fell over backwards and the bike was out of control. The next time he did the back flip and landed it really well.
I liked the way his ears flew up in the air like birds wings. He looked so cool with his silver rims sparkling in the sun.Gee Speck, you should be wearing a helmet!

School's Open for learning!

Well done to Robbie who is the first to take Speck home for the night. I wonder what photo we will get to show what they got up to. Speck is Spot's cousin from England.
Here is Speck in Singapore Airport on his way home from England. He should have taken a book to read as the flight was very boring!
I am sure he will have more fun when he goes home with you for a weekend but remember to e-mail me a photo for the blog.

The adventures of Jack at the Crusaders
On Friday the 31st of May we went to the rugby game. Room 5 won some tickets, I got one too. Jack the Weedons mascot came to the rugby with me. He was so excited. The Crusaders just won because people were screaming as loud as they could. Jack and I were soooo excited we forgot to take a photo. Jack the Cat told me his favourite rugby player is Dan Carter, mine too.
(I bet you guys at Weedons don't know that Dan Carter's Mum works here at Springston School - we should get a photo of Jack with her tomorrow!)

Jack the Cat's weekend at Lachie's
In the weekend Jack came to my house. We helped my friend catch heaps of insects and he stole (borrowed) my chapter book. And he taught me some of my times tables but on Tuesday he was too lazy to get up so he stayed at home.
