The Court Theatre

On Wednesday the 29th of October room 4 went to Court Theatre in Addington.The actors had came from the Art Theatre. The Art Theatre was knocked down in our earhquake. They had also lost all their props & costumes.

We went into the theatre and the band was rehearsing. Then we went backstage. They had their props set up so they could find them easily ready for the show Stag Weekend. There was a TV backstage so the actors knew when to go on. They made models of their set & of their costumes. Then they made them so they wouldn't waste materials. When they had a costume change sometimes they didn't need to change their hair. They made their change in how they moved and spoke. 

We had a workshop. We did a warm for arms and legs then one for our voice. Then we did lots of acting. We were the first group they had taught that got a 10 out of 10! They travel a lot. 

I enjoy acting & I liked everything! I found out that they went to NASDA and knew Kirsty-my dancing teacher.

5 Sentence Challenge #17 - Gemma

Shops in a semi circle guarding the people while the hidden brown church bell chimes.

Flying fluffy fighting white clouds swirl as they get pricked by sky high spires that look like upside down icicles.

The sweet scent of red roses fill my nose as cheerful and bustling people push past me.

Bright bunting flags are dancing in the breeze like dinosaurs chomping their teeth as I got spellbinded to the scenery.

People almost pushed me as I caught a sweet smell of jam and cheesy bread and I felt sad because I didn't think I had any money on me, but as I faintly remember me putting some money in my purse I decided to double check, but while I checked, money fell out of my pocket and into my hands and because of that I was very very happy and perhaps I could buy could buy some bread after all!

Kiwi at Gemma’s house.

First he played the piano by himself and with Tigey.  

Second he rode on my pony The Duke Of Earl in the stirrup and in the monkey strap. He helped me hold the hose to fill Earl's water trough. He had lots of fun. Except in the evening where Tigey and Kiwi were fighting when I left them downstairs so I brought them upstairs to keep them from fighting but I couldn't stop them.  Now they have finally stopped fighting! I think they were trying to see who is boss. (I think Kiwi is).  

We all read a book before bed. Tigey and Kiwi read a bit of Eeyore and the Balloon Tree.  I read some of Sleepover Stakeout.
