Can Drive for Campbell Live!

The 1st of September was such a wonderful night. We watched Campbell Live and then yes! yes! yes! A can drive what a great idea. So thats what I did!

The next day I went to school and asked my teacher and asked the Principal if we could do a can drive and yes we could! So we spent hours working on posters ,e-mails and notices for the can drive!

This week we are collecting canned food and making a sculpture and will send it to Campbell Live. All of these cans will go to the people you may have seen on Campbell Live.

Help support this Friday lunch-box day.

Eco Action: Lunchtime Seed Saving

Check out one of the lunch-time workshops run by the ECO Team.  We were gathering sunflower seeds from Allana's old dead flowers.

We labelled the packets and illustrated them so we would remember what was in the packet.
We then wrote the instructions on the back so we know how to plant them next spring.

We are looking forward to seeing lots of sunflowers visiting school next year after they flower.

Well done to ECO Team Leader Maya for helping organise and manage this activity.

10 Minute Challenge - Escaping Cat

The twisted vicious cat squashed himself in the door. His pitiful meow filled the room as he tried to push through. You could hear him scratching and growling. His contorted face made it look it look like he had a caramel chocolate swirls like ice cream and he was melting slowly.
He was trapped.

His white long whiskers were twitching in the sunlight. His face was going to turn into a pancake if he stayed like that all night. He forced the door to open. It was really funny sitting there watching him.

Reading Bug

There is terrible news. Everyone in Room 4 at Springston School has got the reading dieasese. They can not get their noses out of a book. Some of them are stealing free minutes to edge read! So beware, the reading disease will come to you if you always have your nose in a book.
