Concentric Circles

This is what we have been doing in art. We have been doing friend ship circles as well. I have really enjoyed art this year.

Chloe tried out the drawing tool on the iPAd to make some Kandinsky Concentric Circles.

Our stories in art

We found out how different cultures used art to tell their stories to us in the future. We learned how to use the dots and colours to make images of Australian animals. We are looking at how to tell our own stories in art.

We were wondering about Cave Art!

In our evaluations on Friday lots of us were wondering about the Pre-historic caves at Lascaux  in France.

How did they paint in the cave?
How did they get food in the caves?
How could you travel around without getting lost?
How do you paint like that?

Here are a few links to help you investigate for yourselves...

The discovery of the caves and trying to re-create them...

Arty Fruit and Vegetables

Check out the blog that tells you how to create amazing mozaic images of fruit and vegetables just like the ones created here.

We will need to read the blog.  Then we will need to creat the instructions that we can follow.  Hopwefully our pictures will look as good as these!

What would the fish say?

This is Bryn's imaginative picture inspired by the problems at Lake Ellesmere.  Try writing a comment to tell us what the fish might be saying.

Waka Paddle

Our whole school has a big waka in the library.  Every person in the school is designing their own waka paddle so we can work as a team.

This is my waka paddle.  It shows my mountain, river and family.  It also shows that I love blogging, my cats and reading.
