Kidscafenz: Make your choices!

Take a look through the many movies you can select from.

Challenges:
What do the people in your team want to learn?
How are you going to negotiate your choices so that you all have a fun learning time on our Kids Cafe Day?

Use the team selection sheet to list your choices and check what materials you will need to bring.  You might have to nook in a device with Minecraft PE.  It is all about being flexible and compromising so we all have a great time learning.
Don't forget to assign people to bring the materials and get ready for a whole lot of AKO Kids!

Meet Izzy Movie

Meet Phelix Movie

I have learnt on Garage Band that when you go on audio recorder you have to turn your other recorded tracks down.  You always must keep the sound below the red line.
We made music using just things from around the class.

What did the Romans do for us?

Watch this television episode carefully.  How could we use this approach to share our learning about what the Ancient Greeks did for us?

The Three Bears - Reader's Theatre

This was our first attempt at doing Reader's Theatre but you can hear us working hard on our expression.  We worked well as a team to produce the story and practiced until we got it right.

This was also our first try at doing the video ourselves.  What do you think we could do to improve for our next video?  Write us a comment with some advice so we can get better.

I Can Animate Training

Some of our class went for a training session with Carol to learn how to animate.  It was more challenging than we thought.  First you had to write a story and make a backdrop.  You had to take the shots and we haven't even finished yet.  We will tell you about our top tips for animation soon but check out our pictures.

Captain S Version 2

Jeremy thought he would try his story as a movie.

Attribute your images

Bria thought carefully about how she would feel if you stole her art work.  Remember to ask permission first and tell us where you got it from.  This is called attribution.

Should you steal a painting?

Eli has created this movie to explain how he would feel if you used his work without permission or saying that it was his.  He created this movie by himself on Friday.

Check out Street Talk

Russel Street School - Street Talk

This school has some really great ideas for using technology in our learning and sharing with the world.  Take a look at their Street Talk.  What would we need to learn and practise if we wanted to try something like this in Term 3?

Senior Choices Term 1

For the last five weeks of Term 1, the senior learning team opted into Senior Choices.  They included things like our gardening team, mosaics, checking out the iPads, gymnastis, science, sports, weaving and Simon's cool band.  Take a look at some of the weaving my team produced and have a listen to the very first performance of the band - with the lead rapper missing!  Oops, the video won't load.  I'll try that again later ..... I bet you can't wait!
